Jesus said, "Everlasting Life"
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
A popular verse, long time taught, used to try to support the doctrine of universal atonement. When studied, Jesus preached particular redemption in previous verse 6 and eternal security in this verse.
To oppose the words of Jesus and uphold works for salvation, sacraments for salvation, baptismal regeneration or able to lose your salvation, is to introduce and cling to the cross of another Christ.
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ." Galatians 1:6-7
Of course, it would not be as old, rugged, or as comely as this one and for sure not as powerful. In fact, we could say it is faulty. A faulty cross could only hold a weak Christ which would only support a weak doctrine such as ability to lose your salvation.
The Christ, according to the scriptures, cannot lose any the Father has given him nor can any man pluck them out of his hand. I can only carry the message of a perfect Son and sovereign God. All must repent towards God and trust in His son, Jesus Christ, to be truly saved.
"He that believeth on the son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36
